Great Scout Reservations were built by great people. The Tradition of Service is an opportunity for Scout Units and individuals to contribute to the development of Yankee Clipper Council's "Culture of Camping". Special recognition is given to individuals who give 7.5 hours of service to Lone Tree or Wah-Tut-Ca and units who give 75 manhours of service will also receive special recognition.

The Hike To Northwood symbolically retraces the Journey of Scouts in the Yankee Clipper Council from many camping traditions to Wah-Tut-Ca Scout Reservation. Each Scout Troop selects hikers to carry the flame from a historic location to Northwood. The hikers will travel about 60 miles over three days.

The Yankee Clipper Council has a rich history of camping experiences. This program is a chance for Scout Troops to explore that history by organizing a camping weekend at one of the Yankee Clipper Council historic sites.
