The Challenge Area is a small clearing located near the Dining Hall. It was cleared in 1959 when the trees were harvested to build Abbot Lodge. Over the years it has been used as many things. In it's time it has been the Archery Range, Commissioners area, Sports Area, Rappelling Area and Obstacle Course.
