COLES POINT
![]() |
Although this land was never part of Wah-Tut-Ca it was used by the Camp for many years as an outpost camp. In 1937 it was known as Range Camp #6. In the 1940s it became known as Pioneer point. It was used for Wah-Tut-Ca Braves Ceremonies until they were replaced by Wannalancit Lodge #451 in 1951. Mr. John Cole purchased and developed this land in 1960 and Wah-Tut-Ca no longer used it. The buckskin figure was drawn by Alexander A. Vervaert. As he describes it, "It was to take shameless advantage of the nationwide Davy Crockett craze and promote Wah-Tut-Ca with buckskins and coonskin caps." |
