THE DESERTED VILLAGE OF THEOPHILUS GRIFFIN
       

In colonial times old Theophilus Griffin settled in the part of Wah-Tut-Ca and Northwood that is known as "The Gulf". He also built what is sometimes called the powerline road.This area of Northwood was once known as "Griffintown".

There are many legends and stories about the fate of Theophilus.

"Some say a saucer landed, and

someone took him in

they found his blue serape on the ground

and he never came through here again!"
