An old friend and brother, George H. Dorval wrote this in the 1960's. "...form a party of interested camp staffers to search for the "Blake's Hill Gold Mine. According to the Dartmouth College Museum, this mine is located in the Mount Pawtuckaway Quadrangle of the U.S. Geological Survey Maps".

The directions read, "...on the South side of Blakes Hill, Northwood N.H.".....
