KEMOSABEE CAMPSITE (1937)

Now a popular lake side campsite, it was once known as Camp Kemosabee. In 1937 it was the 1st middler group camp for boys ages 12-15. There was a keen rivalry between the Scouts of Kemo and the 2nd middler  camp, Camp Passaconway. Camps So-Kee-Tay, Kemosabee and Passaconaway all had their own waterfronts.  The Senior camp “Discovery Point” was in the area now named Pawtucket.
