ROBINSON LOOK OUT

The cliff rising sharply above the gulf is one of Wah-Tut-Ca's most fascinating features. In 1936, on one of Wah-Tut-Ca's founders earliest explorations, Charles A. Robinson was awed by the view. He ambled toward the ledge apparently heedless of a companion hacking down a sappling to improve the range of vision over the lake. A third party let out a yell that echoed the warning, "Robinson look out!". Everyone froze for a moment then slowly turned to face one another with smiles. They agreed that they had found a fitting name for this spectacular spot. "Robinson Lookout" was one of the first names applied to the property even before the name of the property was called Wah-Tut-Ca.
